Please follow the following simple steps to ensure that your service configuration is optimized:
Select the device type that you are currently using:
The following instructions are only relevant for our legacy services and not for our next generation services.

Mobile Internet and Network:
Please confirm that your device has the correct Access Point Name (APN) setting to use Mobile Data.
To confirm your APN Settings, go to:
- Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
- or
- Settings > Network and Internet > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

Action: Confirm the APN automatically selected on your device:

If the value displayed is wap.tim.it
- No new APN needs to be added.

If no APN or a different value is displayed:

Under Access Point Name (for all Android devices)
- Select the menu button (three dot icon, top right) and select New APN, or the + Sign at the top right

When prompted enter:
- Name: globaldata
- APN: globaldata
- Select the menu button (three dot icon, top right) and select Save
- Now Select the globaldata APN that you just created.
- If the APN setting is updated, a reboot of the mobile device is required.

Under Access Point Name (for all Android devices)

If the value displayed is wap.tim.it

Action: Confirm the APN automatically selected on your device:

Mobile Hotspot:
Please confirm that your device has the correct Access Point Name (APN) to support Mobile Hotspot.
- Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
- or
- Settings > Network and Internet > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

If no APN or a different value is displayed:

Under Access Point Name (for all Android devices)
- Select the menu button (three dot icon, top right) and select New APN, or the + Sign at the top right

When prompted enter:
- Name: globalhotspot
- APN: globalhotspot
- APN Type: DUN (Should be capitalized
- Select the menu button (three dot icon, top right) and select Save
- Ensure the globaldata APN remains selected.
- If the APN setting is updated, a reboot of the mobile device is required.

Under Access Point Name (for all Android devices)

If no APN or a different value is displayed:
For Mobile Hotspot to function properly on a device, the device must have a valid APN for Tethering in place.
The default Tango APN for Tethering is ‘globalhotspot’.
To confirm your APN Settings, go to:

MMS Enablement:
Please configure your device with the correct MMS Access Point Name (APN) setting to enable the use of MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service).
To configure your MMS APN Settings, go to:
- Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
- or
- Settings > Network and Internet > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

Action: Select the APN currently in use. This will be either wap.tim.it, or globaldata
- Take special attention to populate these fields EXACTLY as shown below.
- Within that APN Menu please populate the following fields:
- MMSC: http://mms.mobileuc.global/
- MMS Proxy: 37.18.129.98
- MMS Port: 8008
- APN type: default,mms
- Select the menu button (3 dot icon, top right) and select Save
- If the APN setting is updated, a reboot of the mobile device is required.

Action: Select the APN currently in use. This will be either wap.tim.it, or globaldata

Network Selection & Network Type:
Please confirm that Network selection on your mobile device is set to Automatic and network type should be set to LTE/3G (auto connect) or 4G.
To confirm your Network Selection settings, go to:
- Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Operators
- or
- Settings > Network and Internet > Mobile Networks > Automatically Select Network

- Action: Confirm that this is set to: Automatically / or Enabled
To confirm the Network Type Selection, go to:
- Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode
- or
- Settings > Network and Internet > Mobile Networks > Preferred Network Type

- Action: Confirm that this is set to: LTE/3G (auto connect) or 4G
Note: Dependent on the software version and locale of your mobile device, the menu structures for your device may vary slightly. If you cannot locate these settings in the exact location specified, refer to your device specific literature or manual. Alternatively, you can use the search within your Settings to locate a specific item.
In order to connect to our next generation services, you must have an iPhone XR or newer device and you must ensure that you are running iOS 15.4 or newer load. Please upgrade your device, if you are on an older load, prior to following these instructions.If you have a SINGLE SIM Device, please follow the following instructions. For Dual/Multi SIM Devices, please go to the subsequent section.
SINGLE SIM Device:
STEP 1: Install SIM into your iPhone
STEP 2: APN Population (For Data):
· Enable Network Carrier Settings:
Go to:
Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network:
Scroll down to MMS > APN :
Type: globaldata
(Do Not Exit the field)
Now Scroll up to the top of the page
Ensure that ‘Use Carrier Settings’ is Enabled (Slider)
IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE ‘Use Carrier Settings’ SLIDER, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE NEW SIM IN YOUR DEVICE.
STEP 3: VoLTE Enablement on the Device:
· To use VoLTE there are some device settings which need to be confirmed. These may or may not already be set appropriately.
Go to:
Settings > Cellular > Voice & Data:
Ensure that:
4G or LTE is Selected (Checked)
VoLTE is Enabled (Slider)
STEP 4: Other Things to Confirm (May already be set correctly, but verify):
· Network Selection is Automatic:
Go to:
Settings > Cellular > Network Selection
Ensure that:
Automatic is Enabled (Slider)
STEP 5: RESTART PHONE
If you have a dual/multi SIM Device please follow these instructions:
DUAL/MULTI SIM Device:
STEP 1: Install SIM into your iPhone
STEP 2: APN Population (For Data):
· Enable Network Carrier Settings:
Settings > Cellular > (Select Relevant ‘Cellular Plan’) > Cellular Data Network:
Scroll down to MMS > APN :
Type: globaldata
(Do Not Exit the field)
Now Scroll up to the top of the page
Ensure that ‘Use Carrier Settings’ is Enabled (Slider)
IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE ‘Use Carrier Settings’ SLIDER, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE NEW SIM IN YOUR DEVICE.
STEP 3: VoLTE Enablement on the Device:
· To use VoLTE there are some device settings which need to be confirmed. These may or may not already be set appropriately.
Go to:
Settings > Cellular > (Select Relevant ‘Cellular Plan’) > Voice & Data:
Ensure that:
4G or LTE is Selected (Checked)
VoLTE is Enabled (Slider)
STEP 4: Other Things to Confirm (May already be set correctly, but verify):
· Network Selection is Automatic:
Go to:
Settings > Cellular > (Select Relevant ‘Cellular Plan’) > Network Selection
Ensure that:
Automatic is Enabled (Slider)
STEP 5: RESTART PHONE
Go to:
- Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network:
- At the Top Disable “Use Carrier Setting” (Slider) and Select “Erase Carrier Settings”
- Scroll down to MMS > APN and Type: globaldata (DO NOT EXIT THE FIELD)
- Now scroll to the top of the page and again Enable ‘Use Carrier Settings’ (Slider).
- Ensure that the MMS APN is retained.
- Reboot your phone
